Mr. Prashant Kishor, the prominent poll strategist is aiming to form an alliance between the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.)
According to sources, the political strategist Mr. Prashant Kishor is working with the INC and the TRS is trying to convince both the political parties to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.) Mr. Prashant Kishor and Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, are said to have detailed discussions on the political situation. It is to be noted, that alliance of the two parties would be a major task, as the TRS Working President Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao is said to have serious reservations on this issue. In fact, KTR in an interview stated. “KCR was a better strategist than anyone else and that PK did not come from the sky or some other planet. TRS will make use of the reports PK gives and they will be supplementary to party strategies. TRS will not blindly follow what he says.”
Furthermore, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao said the INC is nowhere on the political map so there was no possibility of sailing with them. However, Mr. Prashant Kishore believed that if TRS joins the alliance led by Congress along with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK,) the Shiv Sena and other non-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parties would help in reviving the Indian National Congress-led the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) and could push BJP out of power and put an end to the vindictive politics.
He is also said to have given a detailed analysis of the possible political scenario in the future if a united alternative to BJP can become a reality.
However, a final call regarding the alliance between the INC and the TRS is yet to be known.
