The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the victims of Chandausi and Secunderabad.

The Prime Minister’s office tweeted;

“PM @narendramodi has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF to the next of kin of each deceased in the tragedies in Chandausi and Secunderabad. Those injured would be given Rs. 50,000.”

In Telangana’s Secunderabad, a massive fire broke out in a multi storey building on Thursday night, the 16th of March.  The fire accident happened on the night of Thursday, claimed six lives, including four women, confirmed police.

According to the police officials, the victims were employees of a company situated in the building and hailed from Warangal, Mahabubabad, and Khammam districts.  All of the deceased victims were in their 20s and died due to suffocation caused by the smoke.

Meanwhile, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, also announced an ex gratia of Rs. 5 lakh to those who lost their kin in the fire incident.  The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President also announced and directed the medical department to ensure proper medical attention to those injured in the Secunderabad fire incident.
