After the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) announced the party candidate for the Munugode by election, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also announced its candidate.
The BJP announced Mr. Komatireddy Raj Gopal, the former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Munugode constituency as the party candidate for the by election. It is to be noted, after the resignation of Mr. Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy (the former Indian National Congress leader) as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Munugode, the seat fell vacant, paving the way for a by election.
For campaigning, the BJP had roped in a senior actress of the Tollywood film industry Ms. Jeevitha Rajashekar. She is going to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Munugodu constituency.
Notably, Mr. Eatala Rajender, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Huzurabad, approached Ms. Jeevitha Rajashekar to campaign for the upcoming Munugode by election.
The by election for the vacant post of the Munugode MLA would be held on the 3rd of November. The counting of the votes would be held on the 6th of November, following which results would be announced.
Moreover, political parties like the TRS, now known as the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, the Indian National Congress and the BJP are leaving no stone unturned to strengthen the party and win the Munugode Assembly by election.
