In shocking news, a couple of days after the inauguration of B.R. Ambedkar Telangana New Complex Secretariat, videos of rooftop leaking are going viral on social media platforms.

In a Twitter post, one user Dinesh Kumar shared a video of the leaking rooftop of the newly constructed Telangana Secretariat and said, “Rain water leaks in the wonderful new secretariat of the Telangana”

Another user Cheera Suchitra Srikanth wrote, “Yesterday’s small rain exposed cracks in roof and pillar of newly built Telangana Secretariat  building our state govt spent 1600crs for this new building

As per the viral videos and claims, the new construction worth Rs. 1,600 crores, failed to withstand the harsh Summer rains, lashing the city since the past two days.

The construction is not accurate for such rainy weather, therefore the ceiling of the secretariat is leaking, said many netizens, widely circulating the video.

However, a Twitter handle @Fact_Check Telangana, dismissed the claims and clarified that the shared video is of a complex under construction.  The post with a video shared by @Fact_Check Telangana also mentioned that, “A video circulating on social media is completely misleading the people saying that the Telangana Secretariat was flooded due to the recent rains.

A commercial complex under construction outside the new secretariat is seen in the video.  The construction of this complex is yet to be completed.  In the video, they are falsely propagating that if the water is standing on the complex, then the water is standing on the secretariat.

People are requested to be alert against such false propaganda.”

On the 30th of April, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, inaugurated the secretariat, in Hyderabad, Telangana.
