In Hyderabad’s Begum Bazar, a massive fire broke out on the late night of the 11th of June, Sunday.

According to sources, the fire erupted on Sunday evening at a tent house situated in Begum Bazaar.  The fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire and rescued five people trapped inside an adjacent apartment to the tent house.  According to Mr. K. Srinivas Reddy, the District Fire Officer (South,) the fire started around 6:30 P.M., at Amar Tent House located at MJ Market Road, Begum Bazar. 

Although with the immediate action no casualties were reported, property worth several lakhs were reportedly damaged. 

Meanwhile, the fire was doused in two hours with the help of five fire tenders.  Furthermore, the officials suspected a short circuit to be the reason behind the fire at the tent house, but the exact reason is yet to be known.

A case has been registered and an investigation has been launched.
