Mr. Mahender Reddy, the son of Mr. Malla Reddy, the Labour Minister of Telangana, has been hospitalized at a private hospital in Hyderabad, Telangana.
According to sources, Mr. Mahender Reddy complained of chest pain and was rushed to the hospital. Notably, Mr Mahender Reddy was hospitalized a day after Income Tax (IT) raids conducted by the IT officials amid tax evasion allegations.
On the 22nd of November, Tuesday, 50 teams of IT officials conducted multiple raids at the residence, offices and educational institutions run by Mr. Malla Reddy. They started the search operation amid tax evasion allegations. Hours after the raid, Mr. Mahender Reddy, whose house was also searched, complained of chest pain and was taken to hospital.
Mr. Mahender Redd’s father and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader, alleged the IT officials along with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) barged into their house and beat his son, resulting in his current health condition. He said, “We provide education to students from economically backward families and mould their lives. We are not doing any smuggling.”
Meanwhile, the IT raids at the residence and offices of Mr. Malla Reddy is still underway.
