Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) on the 6th of June, laid the foundation stone for a school building.

On Monday, the TRS Minister KTR said after resolving several issues like drinking water and other progress works, now the Telangana Government has launched the Mana Ooru-Mana Badi program to improve infrastructure in all the government schools across the State. 

Under the Mana Ooru Mana Badi program, the K. Chandrashekar Rao-led TRS Government would release Rs.7,300 crores, aiming for improved infrastructure in 26,000 government schools in the State. 

The statement was made during the foundation stone event for constructing a school building in memory of his late grandmother Ms. Venkatamma at Konapur village.  The building is being constructed at a cost of Rs.2.5 crore and KTR is bearing the entire cost in his capacity.  

Mr. Rama Rao said, “Earlier, I participated in the inauguration of a school building, which was constructed by industrialist Subhash Reddy at Bibipeta Mandal.  Drawing inspiration, I am constructing the school building at Konapur, which is my grandmother’s native place.”

Highlighting the school, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao said, the newly constructed building would have 14 classrooms on two floors and would be completed in eight to nine months.  KTR said, “My grandparents stayed in Posanpally till 1945 and shifted to Chintamadaka, Siddipet.  They bought vast lands in the village and settled there.  In 1954, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was born.” 

The newly inaugurated school building work would be completed by 2023 March.
