Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders.

On the 22nd of November, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao said, “Those who leave thousands of poor farmers on the street through cold and Covid 19 to their fate for a year are desh bhakts. And those that extend a helping hand are traitors? Strange logic.” He further said, “Who are these morons to issue certification on Desh Bhakt anyway?”

The tweet of the TRS leader came after a few BJP leaders slammed KCR and called him a traitor. The leaders of the BJP in Telangana unit, called Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, a traitor after he announced Rs. 3 lakh to kin of each farmer, who died in farm laws protest in the past one year. The BJP leaders said, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao are announcing ex gratia for Khalistanis and is being a traitor.

The KCR Government is spending a total of Rs. 22.50 crore for the announced ex greatia. He also urged the Central Government to announce Rs. 25 lakh compensation amount to families of the farmers who died while protesting against the three farm laws.
