K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, on the 12th of May, appreciated the effort of weavers in Telangana.

Mr. Rao took to Twitter and hailed the contribution of weavers from Siricilla for weaving Bathukamma sarees. 

KTR in his tweet said, Proud of my talented weaver brothers & sisters from Sircilla who’ve restarted the production of #BathukammaSarees

My aim as local MLA is to make #SircillaWeaves a brand to reckon with. Textile park & Apparel park will be the key to make this happen

#TelanganaFightsCorona.”

Mr. Rao said the Textile Park and the Apparel Park will prove to be the key to make Bathukamma Sarees as a brand in India.

Mr. Rao concluded his Tweet with #TelanganaFightsCorona, indicating the efforts of the Telangana Government to contain the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.

The State has a total of 1,275 positive cases of COVID-19, out of which, 444 are active cases,  801 are discharged/ cured and 30 deceased cases.
