Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Information Technology and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, claimed fair elections in the State, as they never approached the voters with liquor or money.

On the 22nd of September, Thursday, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Working President said that he had neither distributed a single drop of liquor nor money in the four elections he contested so far.  Those who want to compete against him in Sircilla should also do good deeds to win the hearts of the people. 

Mr. K.T. Rama Rao further added, all the expenses incurred during elections were a waste serving the public would be enough to win the elections.  The statements of Mr. K.T. Rama Rao came during an event organised in Rajanna Sircilla district, where he launched the distribution of android tablets (tabs) with enhanced Byjus’ software to more than 6,000 junior college students.

Speaking on the occasion the TRS Minister KTR made it clear that he would not distribute liquor or give money to voters in elections.  He said that there were many people to compete against him and they should also do public service and win public support.  He said, “One should try to give employment to at least to 10 people to sustain their lives.  One should gain people’s support by public service but should not pollute the election atmosphere.”

It is to be noted, Telangana is set to contest the State Assembly elections in 2023 and the TRS, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) are trying to strengthen parties in Telangana, to win the elections.
