Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is going to hold a meeting over drugs situation in Telangana.

According to sources, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao would conduct the meeting with the State Police and Excise Department officials and discuss the steps to control drug abuse in the Telugu State. 

The meeting is scheduled on the 28th of January, at Pragathi Bhavan, Hyderabad, Telangana.  

The concerned officials would discuss the measures and actions to be taken to eliminate drug abuse. 

In the past few days, the Telangana Police registered a few cases against drug peddlers and drug usage in the Hyderabad city.  They also busted a few gangs, consuming and selling drugs to people.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government is planning to come up with a special action plan to control narcotics cases in Telangana.

Earlier, the Telangana Chief Minister Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, asked for strict punishments for culprits in the narcotics cases, irrespective of their status.
