Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is scheduled to hold a meeting with the National Farmers Unions leaders from 26 States, on the 27th of August, Saturday.  

The meeting is organised at Pragathi Bhavan,regarding the agricultural sector in India.  Ahead of the discussion, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao would also present a documentary on the progress achieved by Telangana in agriculture, irrigation and other sectors.  After the documentary presentation, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao would hold a conference.  Furthermore, during the meeting, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao would also discuss measures taken by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government in the development of irrigation, agricultural and power sectors. 

During the conference, the Telangana Chief Minister KCR would discuss the current situation of the agricultural sector, including a special focus on the implementation of farmer welfare programmes in Telangana, with agricultural and allied projects development. 

Notably, farmers from Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Punjab, Jharkhand and other States would be attending the meeting.  In addition, farmers from across India visited the Mallanna Sagar project in Siddipet as part of their three day study tour to the Kaleshwaram project and agricultural reforms in Telangana.
