K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is scheduled to conduct a special high level meeting on the 17th of May.

The meeting is organised to discuss the  use of Godavari water during the rainy season.  During the meeting, KCR would discuss about Godavari river water, basins and matter like how much water should be released from Godavari projects this rainy season, purpose fulfilled from the released water and other agriculture and irrigation issues. The release and diversion of water to Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP) and Lower Manair Dam (LMD), quantity and time when water should be released to the reservoirs among others would also be discussed.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) ministers like Prashant Reddy, Indrakaran Reddy, Etala Rajender, K.T. Rama Rao, Koppala Ishwar, Gangula Kamalakar, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Satyavati Rathod and Jagadish Reddy would attend the meeting.

In addition, the Irrigation Department Chief Secretary Rajat Kumar, CMO Secretary Smita Sabharwal, Engineer-in-Chief Muralidhar, SRSP chief engineer Shankar, Kaleswaram chief engineer Venkateswarlu, and other irrigation senior engineers, also will attend the meeting.

The meeting would begin at 11:00 A.M., on the 17th of May.
