Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana and the President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) held a press conference in the TRS MLAs Poaching Case.

On the 3rd of November, Thursday, during the press conference, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) released a video of a deal held in a Hyderabad farmhouse, to poach TRS MLAs.  He claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) associated Delhi brokers are trying to poach the TRS MLAs.  He said, the Telangana Police have launched an investigation into the poaching of 4 TRS MLAs and arrested three accused in the matter. 

 

Notably, on the 27th of October, the Cyberabad Police registered a case against three people, Mr. Ramachandra Bharati from Delhi and Mr. Simhayajulu from Tirupati, both are said to be temple priests and Mr. Nanda Kumar, a businessman from Hyderabad and a close associate of a union minister.  They were associated with the BJP and allegedly offered Rs. 100 crores to four TRS MLAs.  The police detained the three of them and registered a case under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 120 B (criminal conspiracy), 171-B (bribery) read with 171-E (punishment of bribery,) 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) read with 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and section 8 of Prevention of Corruption Act.  

Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao said that evidence in this regard was also submitted to the Telangana High Court.  Moreover, highlighting the released video clip, in the clip, one accused Satish Sharma alias Ramachandra Bharati, was heard offering Rs. 50 crores to each MLAs.  

Addressing the media, KCR said, he would also present the evidence against the BJP in TRS MLAs Poaching case to the Supreme Court (SC) and all the high courts in India.  He urged the Chief Justice of India Mr. D.Y. Chandrachud to save democracy and take strict action against the Saffron party for their attempt.

KCR said, besides the courts, he would also send all the evidence to chief ministers of other non BJP states,   KCR said, “I am your political colleague.  Why do you want to topple my government through undemocratic means?”

Meanwhile, the Telangana Police and the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) have registered a case and are investigating the TRS MLAs’ poaching, as per the complaint of TRS Leader Mr. Pilot Rohit Reddy, who busted the conspiracy of the BJP against the TRS Government.
