Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on the 10th of December, hinted the possibility of a second international airport near Siddipet in future.

The new airport would be an addition to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in suburban Shamshabad.

KCR said, “Siddipet is a dynamic place and is in close vicinity of Hyderabad. We can expect another international airport in the area around Siddipet in the future. The establishment of an IT Tower will facilitate development of Siddipet on all fronts.”

Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao congratulated the entrepreneurs for evincing keen interest in setting up their establishments in the proposed IT Tower.

Four entrepreneurs from Siddipet settled in the US have come forward to set up their establishments in the IT Tower, which will provide employment to 900 people. As many as 3,000 people would be getting employment directly and indirectly.

The State Government is constructing the IT Tower at a cost of over Rs 45 crore in three acres. Work pertaining to the construction of the tower with a built up area of 60,000 sft will be completed in a year in the first phase and in the second phase, construction will be taken up in another 60,000 sqft.

Plans are also being chalked out to provide accommodation to the employees.
