In the letter, to Mr. Reddy urged Uttam Kumar Reddy, the former Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief to continue.

Mr. Reddy urged Uttam Kumar Reddy to continue as the TPCC Chief until Nagarjuna bypoll.  He also asked Manikam Tagore to consider the suggestions of the party senior leaders before finalizing their decision.

Jagga Reddy said that the TPCC chief election should be held with the consensus of the party seniors and asked not to take a hasty decision on the TPCC chief election. In the letter, he said that BJP is making use of TRS and AIMIM party indirectly for the party growth as they have no persons to win as MLAs.

Senior Congress leaders in the party are said to have been dissatisfied with the high command decision on the TPCC post. On Friday, V Hanumantha Rao threatened to quit the party if Revanth Reddy is chosen for the post of TPCC chief.
