Just two days ahead of the Munugode by elections, the Income Tax (IT) Department conducted a raid at the residence of Prabhakar Reddy, the assistant of the Telangana Energy Minister Mr. Jagdish Reddy.

According to sources, in the late night of the 31st of October, Monday, a team of 30 IT officials visited Prabhakar Reddy’s residence in Tirumalanagar and in Nalgonda, Telangana.  During the raids, the officials seized Rs. 4 lakhs and important documents.

Furthermore, the IT officials also seized his car and mobile phone.  Moreover, after conducting the raids on Mr. Prabhakar Reddy, the IT officials also conducted searches at Minister Jagadish Reddy’s office in Banjara Hills. 

The officials didn’t disclose details regarding the seized cash and the documents collected from his office.

It is to be noted, the raids held at Mr. Jagdish Reddy’s residence could be a major setback for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) as he is playing a crucial role in the Munugode by polls campaign.

The Munugode by election is scheduled to be held on the 3rd of November and the results of the elections would be announced on the 6th of November.
