The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD,) on the 13th of April, Wednesday, issued a yellow alert in Telangana. Under the alert, the Telugu State would witness summer rains from Thursday, the 14th of  April.

It is to be noted, that the Capital of Telangana, Hyderabad witnessed a rise in temperature with scorching heat for the citizens in the past few days.  However, now the isolated region of Hyderabad and Telangana would witness light to moderate rainfall for the next few days. 

The IMD Hyderabad said, “For the next 48 hours, the city may see a partly cloudy sky.  Thunder clouds are likely to develop towards evening/night. Surface winds are likely to be Southerlies with wind speeds around 04-06 kmph. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 38 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.”

 

As per the IMD notification, light to moderate rain or thundershowers would occur in several regions, starting from the 14th of April,  to the 16th of April.  Yellow alerts have been issued in Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Adilabad, Kumaran Bheem, Nirmal, Mancherial, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Medak, Sangareddy, Medak and Vikarabad districts.
