Heavy rain, under the influence of surface circulation in the Bay of Bengal,  lashed the Suryapet district in Telangana.   The district is witnessing moderate to heavy rainfall since the evening of the 28th of September, Wednesday.

In addition, considering the rain like situation, as per the weather forecast, the rainfall which is continuing would be expected to persist for the next three days. 

Furthermore, due to the rainfall,  all the roads in the town became waterlogged, commuters are having trouble with vehicular movement and electricity is also one major concern for the people.  In addition, houses in the low lying areas are said to be on alert, with people being advised to shift to a safer place, amid the expected flood like situation in the district. 

Moreover, the Suryapet Municipal staff are making arrangements to prevent water from stagnating on the roads.

Meanwhile, as per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD,) due to the influence of surface circulation in the Bay of Bengal and southwest monsoon, heavy rains are likely to occur in many regions of Telangana.  Some of the regions include Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Nalgonda, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Mahabubnagar and Nagarkurnool districts.
