In Telangana, a goldsmith allegedly hanged himself to death.

According to sources, the victim identified as Subba Raja was a resident of Ramanthapur region, Telangana was depressed over being cheated by his girlfriend.

The police confirmed the incident and said Subba Raja worked at a jewelry shop in Secunderabad and was in a relationship with a girl since few years.  However, they developed a rift between them due to which the girl refused to accept Subba Raju’s marriage proposal.  Unable to cope up with the rejection, Raju slipped into depression and took the extreme step.  He booked a hotel in Begumpet and hanged himself to death, confirmed by the Begumpet Police on the 24th of May.

Addressing the media, the Begumpet Police said, “Raju slipped into depression due to it and checked into a hotel at Begumpet on Monday afternoon.  Before hanging himself, he made a video call to his friend and explained about the whole episode about the girlfriend, how she exploited and cheated him and also ruined his life.  He also informed his friend about the decision he has taken to end his life.”  

As soon as Raju’s friend received the video, he informed the police and also tried to persuade Raju, asking him not to take the extreme step.  With the help of the Begumpet Police, his friend traced Raju’s location.

However, by the time they reached the hotel room, Raju had taken the extreme step and was lying dead.

The police shifted Raju’s body to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem and registered a case for further investigation.
