The missing Hyderabad Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) student was found dead on the 25th of July, Tuesday.  The body of the student identified as 21 year old Karthik  was found in Visakhapatnam.  The young student was missing for two weeks and finally discovered on the beach of Visakhapatnam.

Karthik, a second-year B. Tech (Mechanical) student, had left the IIT Hyderabad campus on the 17th of July, and since then, his phone had been switched off, raising concerns among his peers and family members.  In an earnest attempt to locate him, both the police and the student’s relatives conducted thorough searches at various places.

During the investigation, the police managed to trace the signal of Karthik’s mobile phone to Visakhapatnam, following which they found him dead. 

Although the case is suspected to be a matter of suicide case, further investigation has been launched.
