The Hyderabad Police, on the 8th of June, Wednesday, arrested all the 6 accused in the Hyderabad Minor Girl Gang Rape Case.

According to sources, the arrested accused include 5 juveniles and 1 adult, who allegedly raped a 17 year old teen in Jubilee Hills area of Hyderabad, on the 28th of May.

On Wednesday, Mr. C.V. Anand, the Commissioner of Police of Hyderabad, said, all the accused have been arrested.  While 4 juvenile Child in Conflict with Law (CCLs) were produced before the court, two others, including 18 year old  Saduddin Malik would be produced before the court, on the 8th of June.

Furthermore, the Hyderabad CP gave a briefing of the incidents happened on the 28th of May.  He said that the main accused Saduddin Malik and one CCL misbehaved with the victim in the pub Amnesia, where they were attending a party.

CCTV footage revealed they followed the girl outside the pub and after that four CCLs and the girl boarded a Mercedes.  While on the way to the bakery, the CCLs in the Mercedes forcibly kissed her, took videos, and circulated.  Later, they first stopped at a Concu bakery and from the bakery,  Malik and four other CCLs boarded an Innova. 

Around at 6:15 P.M., the Innova left with Malik, the five others and the victim to Road number 44 behind Pedamma temple, parked it there and then, they raped the girl by rotation.  After committing the crime, they dropped the victim back to the club, from where her father picked her up.

Although the incident occured on the 28th of May, the First Information Report (FIR) was filed on the 31st of May.  After initial interrogation and statement of the girl, with the officials at the Bharosa Kendra, the police altered the molestation case to rape case.  The police booked 5 accused under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 376 D (gang rape,) 323 (causing hurt,) Section 5G read with 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 366 and 366 A (kidnapping) and Section 67 of Information Technology Act.

However, the sixth Child in Conflict with Law (CCL) was not involved in rape but he kissed the victim in the car.  He has been booked under IPC Section 354, 323 and Section 9 G read with 10 of the POCSO Act.   The six accused who is also the son of a  Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) could face 5 to 7 years imprisonment.  In addition, the other five accused, who raped the girl would either be convicted with lifetime imprisonment, 15 to 20 imprisonment or even the death penalty.

The case is pending for the judicial trials.
