Hyderabad: 19 Year Old Dies By Suicide After Being Chided By Mother

In Telangana’s SR Nagar, a tragic incident of suicide was reported on the 28th of October, Thursday.

According to sources, a 19 year old teenager committed suicide after being chided by her mother.  The deceased was identified as Bonashree Deria, a second-year BSc student. 

The incident occurred when the woman’s mother reprimanded her for scoring low marks on a class test. The deceased was said to be alone at the home when she took the extreme step by hanging herself with a rope using a ceiling fan.  After her mother returned home, she saw the body of her daughter hanging from the ceiling.  

Meanwhile, she informed the police, who rushed to the spot and a case was registered under section 174 (preparation of inquest report to find out if the deceased actually committed suicide or has been murdered) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC.)

The investigation is underway and more details regarding the case are awaited.
