Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Telangana unit, took a dig at Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.

Highlighting the speech of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao during the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Plenary meeting, BJP President said, “Everything that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said in the TRS Plenary was a blatant lie.”

Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar conducted an election campaign for the party candidate for the Huzurabad by election, Mr. Eatala Rajender in Betigal village in Veenavanka mandal of Huzurabad constituency.  During the election campaign, he said that KCR was not able to face the people of Huzurabad Assembly constituency because he never fulfilled the promises he made to the people.  Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar also criticised the TRS President for blaming the Election Commission of India (ECI.)  KCR alleged that the ECI did not allow him (KCR) to conduct election meetings in Huzurabad.

On this allegation, Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar said, the ECI made a similar decision during the West Bengal Assembly election, restricting public meetings of Mr. Narendra Modi and Mr. Amit Shah, senior leaders of the BJP.  He said, similar thing happened in West Bengal, therefore, KCR and the Huzurabad Assembly by election is no different, hence, no exception was made.

The Telangana BJP President also pointed out a letter written by the TRS to the ECI and said, “It was the KCR’s Government that wrote a letter to ECI asking to postpone the by-election because of Covid in Telangana.”  He also took a dig at KCR for cheating the people in the name of Dalit Bandhu and sought to know what happened to the promise of Dalit CM and Deputy Chief Minister and three acres of land.   During the 2018 Telangana Assembly election campaign, the TRS Government promised to make a Dalit Chief Minister and 3 Deputy CMs and also Promised to give 3 acres of land to Dalits in the State.

He said, “Around 1,400 poor youth sacrificed their lives for Telangana cause;  what were the sacrifices made by KCR, KTR, Harish Rao, Kavitha, Santosh Rao for Telangana?”

Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar was campaigning for Mr. Eatala Rajender, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) candidate of the BJP for the Huzurabad Assembly by poll. 

Speaking about Mr. Eatala Rajender, the BJP President said, “Rajender was sent out because he stood up for the poor.”  He said, “All the polls conducted by KCR had confirmed that BJP would win and hence he was bringing bundles of money in containers to distribute Rs. 20,000 per vote. But the TRS leaders were cutting Rs. 15,000 per vote and giving just Rs. 5,000. They were threatening the people to vote for TRS.”

It is to be noted, the Huzurabad Assembly constituency is a war zone for the BJP and the TRS.  Both the parties are working hard to win the battle against each other. 

The Huzurabad Assembly by poll is scheduled to be held on the 30th of October and the results would be announced on the 2nd of November.
