On the unfortunate incident of a female commuter injured at HITEC City MRT station, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) issued a detailed update on Friday saying the incident was misreported.
A British daily reported earlier that, despite repeated pleas, subway workers had neglected to arrange first aid. However, a spokesman for HMRL said the subject had been confirmed by viewing CCTV footage and the facts had been established.
“The passengers were found hurriedly running up the moving escalator. She was injured on the escalator, unaware of her injuries, bought the ticket on time and passed security checks, and walked to the platform. Some passengers brought her attention With blood on their toes, they also approached the Continental Coffee Shop and later the station controller’s office,” HMRL said in a statement.

It further clarified that the pool of blood mentioned in the report was nothing more than water poured over the wound by other passengers. The female passenger is said to have also provided wheelchair support.
All MRT stations at HMR are equipped with first aid kits,” it said, adding that officers with public interfaces are regularly trained to assist and assist all victims.
