In view of the unveiling, the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar statue, all parks and restaurants under the Buddha Purnima Project (BPP) would be shut on the 14th of April, Friday.

On the 12th of April, Wednesday, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) issued an official statement and a circular in this regard.  The HMDA said that this decision was taken so that there is convenience for the people. 

Getting into the details, NTR Garden, NTR Ghat, Lumbini Park, Sanjivaiah Park, Jala Vihar and Amogham Restaurant would be closed on Friday.

On the 132nd birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, would unveil a 125 m long statue.  Constructed by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government, the installation of the 125 feet long bronze statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is at PVR Marg.   The bronze statue would be a major tourist attraction with an additional set up of a museum and a meditation center.  The 125 feet long statue would be coming up on a basement of 55 feet in a park of 11 acres and efforts are on to make it a tourist destination with a cost of Rs. 150 crores.

The event would  a grand ceremony organized by the Telangana Government, in honor of late Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who wrote the Indian Constitution and one who contributed for the growth of India.
