Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister (CM) of Andhra Pradesh, on the 1st of August, met K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the CM of Telangana and E.S.L. Narasimhan, the Governor of Telangana.

The meeting was conducted at Raj Bhavan, after the immediate landing of Jagan in Hyderabad.  During the meeting, Jagan and Narasimhan discussed various issues related to Andhra Pradesh.

This meeting was expected to be related to the issues which will be raised during the upcoming meeting with the Home Ministry of India, on the 7th and 8th of August.

The Home Ministry of India convened a meeting in New Delhi to discuss the issues between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, related to the division of employees, assets and other aspects.

This was the first meeting of Jagan after Narasimhan was released from the post of Governor of Andhra Pradesh.  Since 2014, E.S.L. Narasimhan was the Governor of both the Telugu States. However, recently, on the 24th of July, Biswa Bhusan Harichandan was sworn in as the new Governor of AP.  Narasimhan remains the Governor of Telangana.

After a 1 hour long meeting with the Telangana Governor, Jagan Mohan Reddy met KCR and discussed issues related to employees, the institutions under the 10th Schedule and the sharing of river water between both the States.

Later in the evening. Jagan Mohan Reddy, with his family, flew to Jerusalem for a 4 day trip.
