Hyderabad: Telangana police registered a case against Former Member of Parliament (MP) and leader of the BRS party, Joginpally Santosh Kumar. The case stems from a complaint lodged by a representative of the Navayuga company, alleging unlawful activities regarding land ownership.

According to the FIR filed by the police, Santosh Kumar along with Lingareddy Sridhar, attempted to acquire 1350 square yards of land. The land in question is purportedly owned by the Navayuga company.

The charges against Santosh Kumar and his associate include violations of several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), namely sections 400, 471, 447, and 120B. These sections pertain to offenses such as criminal breach of trust, using as genuine a forged document, criminal trespass, and criminal conspiracy, respectively.

The registration of such serious charges against a former MP and political leader inevitably raises questions about the integrity and ethics of public officials. Santosh is nephew of former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
