Mr. Eatala Rajender, the newly elected Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Huzurabad, took the oath of office.
On the 10th of November, Tuesday, Mr. Eatala Rajender, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took the oath as the MLA after winning the Huzurabad Assembly by election.
The Assembly speaker Mr. Pocharam Srinivas Reddy administered the oath to the new Huzurabad MLA Mr. Eatala Rajender. The oath taking ceremony was attended by Mr. Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Mr. Jithender Reddy, Mr. Enugu Ravinder Reddy and other leaders of the BJP and the State MLAs.
Recently, on the 30th of October, the Huzurabad Assembly by election and on the 2nd of November, the results of the by polls were announced. It is to be noted, the Huzurabad Assembly by election was conducted after the resignation of Mr. Eatala Rajender as the Huzurabad MLA and a TRS member. The Huzurabad Assembly seat fell vacant, which created political tension between Mr. Eatala Rajender and the TRS President Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, making the Huzurabad by election a serious battle between the BJP and the TRS.
Since Mr. Eatala Rajender joined the BJP and contested the Huzurabad by election on a BJP ticket, the chances of victory of the BJP and the TRS were 50-50. Both the parties tried to get the attention of voters and finally, the BJP by contesting Mr. Eatala Rajender won the by election.
Mr. Eatala Rajender won with a majority of 23,800 votes against Mr. Gellu Srinivas Reddy, the MLA candidate of the TRS. Mr. Eatala Rajender got more than 1,01,800 votes in the recently held Huzurabad Assembly by election.
Today, on the 10th of November, Mr. Eatala Rajender took over as the MLA of Huzurabad, officially after taking the oath of office.
