Mr. Eatala Rajender, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Huzurabad, lashed out at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government over the ongoing paddy procurement issue.
On the 1st of April, Friday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said that the K. Chandrashekar Rao-led TRS is misleading the people over the Central Government’s stand on the paddy procurement issue. He said that the Centre had already told that it would not purchase the boiled rice of the previous Kharif season. Clarifying on behalf of the BJP led Central Government, Mr. Eatala Rajender said that the Centre is not showing any partiality against the Telangana Government and asked the TRS Government to purchase the paddy stock from the farmers of Telangana.
Furthermore, the BJP MLA also criticized KCR for blaming the Centre for its political mileage and spreading a false narrative about the BJP in Telangana. He said that the people are aware of the Centre’s policies and they are always with the BJP. It is to be noted, that on the 30th of March, during the ongoing Parliament session, Mr. Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister clarified that the Central Government would not purchase boiled rice but other varieties of the grain. In a written reply to the Parliament MoS for Rural Development, Ms. Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said that the Central government would not buy boiled rice anymore.
Meanwhile, the TRS Government is asking the PM Narendra Modi-led Central Government to purchase the entire stock of rice from the Telugu State farmers.
