Mr. Eatala Rajender, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Huzurnagar, is likely to be appointed as the Chairman of the Campaign Committee for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)

The decision was taken by the national leaders of the BJP, ahead of the 2023 Telangana State Assembly elections.  According to sources, the senior leaders of the BJP has conveyed the message about it to Mr. Eatala Rajender.  The BJP had promised that he would be given this post when he quit the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) then the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and joined the BJP.  He also resigned as the BRS MLA from the Huzurabad Assembly constituency and won the by election as the BJP MLA.

However, an official announcement regarding the appointment of Mr. Eatala Rajender as the Chairman of the Campaign Committee is yet to be made.

Meanwhile, ahead of the Telangana Assembly elections, Mr. Eatala Rajender is making efforts to rope in the BRS leaders to the BJP.  In this regard, he held unofficial meetings with several BRS leaders.

The Telangana Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in December 2023.  The strong parties in the fray to win the elections are: the BJP, the BRS and the Indian National Congress.
