Hyderabad: MLC and former Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha asked the public not to pay electricity bills in case they consume less than 200 units per month. Kavitha said that the Congress party in their manifesto promised free power to consumers below 200 units consumption under the ‘Gruha Jyothi’ scheme. Kavitha participated in a program at Narsingipalli village at Nizamabad rural on Wednesday and said that people in rural areas are speaking about the delay in payment of Rythu Bandhu money.

Kavitha demanded the government to enhance the old aged pension from existing Rs.2000 per head to Rs.4000 without demanding any additional documents. She said that the state government should implement new schemes only after giving new ration cards.

“Why is the state government hesitating to invite applications for Rs.4000 unemployed pensions? They promised unemployment pension and they should pay it,” Kavitha questioned.
