The famous Chilkur Balaji Temple in the Gandipeta area of Hyderabad, would be closed from the 19th of March, due to the Novel Coronavirus also known as COVID-19.
The decision to close the temple till the 25th of March, was taken by the chief priest of the Balaji temple as a preventive measure of the spread of Coronavirus in Telangana.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) also announced shut down of all public places and educational institutions in the wake of spread of the virus. Golconda Fort and Charminar, Zoo Park, Lumbini, NTR Parks and many other major galleries would also be closed for visitors and citizens.
The deadly disease with symptoms of breathing issues, dry cough, cold and fever has so far killed 7,984 people and infected 1,98,412 people, globally.
