Amid the temporary schools and colleges shut down, due to the Novel Coronavirus, the Telangana Government ordered to conduct the SSC Boards exams and intermediate exams as per schedule.

The schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are also planning to reschedule exams of classes I to IX, scheduled to begin at the end of the March.

A CBSE school principal spoke about this issue and said, “As the Government decided to close down the schools and colleges, we will follow it.  The board exams for Class X and XII will be held as per the schedule. We will decide on rescheduling final exams time-table for other classes,”

K. Venkat Sainath, the Joint Secretary of the Hyderabad Schools Parents Association opposed the decision to conduct X and XII exams as per scheduled.  He said all the schools in Telangana have to be closed by Government order. He further added, “All the scheduled examinations too should be postponed.”

Y. Shekar Rao, the President of the Telangana Recognised Schools Management Association (TRSMA,) said the management would close schools till the 31st of March.  However, there would be no change in the examinations of Intermediate and SSC Boards, as directed by the State Government.

The SSC Boards exams and Intermediate exams are scheduled to end by the 23rd of March.
