Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor of Telangana, on the 6th of April, donated Rs. 5 lakhs to PM CARES Fund to fight the Novel Coronavirus.
Recently, on the 29th of March, Ms. Soundarajan handed over cheque of Rs. 3.5 lakh to M. Jagadeeshwar, the Principal Secretary of Telangana Disaster Management department. The donation was given to the Telangana Government which was Ms Soundararajan’s March salary to fight against the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19, in the State.
Telangana witnessed a drastic increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases in less than 24 hours. The State reported a total of 334 COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths till date.
Meanwhile, on the 6th of April, India had 4,565 COVID-19 cases and 125 casualties. Whereas, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Telangana and Kerala are 5 States with highest number of cases respectively.
