Mr. Komatireddy Rajagopla Reddy, the Indian National Congress (INC) Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Munugodu, submitted his resignation.

On the 8th of August, Monday, Mr. Komatireddy Rajagopal resigned as INC MLAn and gave his resignation letter to Mr. P. Srinivas Reddy, the Telangana Assembly Speaker.  The reason behind quitting the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, INC unit in Telangana, saying the wrong person has been elected as the President of the TPCC.  Notably, the appointment of Mr. A. Revanth Reddy has upset the MLA from Munugodu, who said, “Those who have self-respect will not stay in the party.”  He also hoped his resignation and by election in Munugode Assembly would bring a change in the State, with the BJP’s stronghold, as Mr. Rajagopal is set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)

Furthermore, Mr. Rajagopal Reddy announced to join the opposition Saffron Party on the 21st of August.  Mr. Rajagopal Reddy made the announcement in Delhi after meeting the Union Home Miniter Mr. Amit Shah.  The MLA Mr. Rajagopal Reddy was accompanied by Mr. Vivek Venkatswamy, the BJP’s national executive member in Telangana.. 

The MLA from Munugode said Amit Shah invited him to join the party and he accepted the invitation.
