Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, announced to cancel the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) public meeting, scheduled on the 5th of February.

On the 27th of January, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao cancelled the grand public scheduled to be held in Nanden, on the 5th of February.  Instead of the grand public meeting, the party would hold a small event, where the leaders from Maharashtra would be inducted into the BRS, during an event in Nanden, Maharashtra.

Although the reason behind the cancellation of the public meeting is unknown, sources revealed that the party would hold a public meeting after the constitution of district and village level bodies in Maharashtra.  

It is to be noted, the recently announced national party, the BRS is making efforts to establish itself in states like Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha and Delhi.  The K. Chandrashekar Rao led BRS recently held a grand public meeting in Khammam district of Telangana and is confident of winning people of other states as well, and attracting leaders to join the BRS.

Furthermore, the BRS is also looking for an alliance of non Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in different states, especially to contest the 2024 elections, against the PM Narendra Modi led Central Government.
