Mr. Santosh, the Member of Parliament (MP) of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) adopted 1,000 acre land in Kondagattu region, for the development of the forest.

Mr. Santosh decided to adopt the land in support of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, who announced to revive the popular Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy temple.  On the 16th of February, Mr. Santosh, who is also the head of Telangana’s Green India Challenge, announced to adoption above 1000-acre forest in the Kondagattu area to improve green cover. 

Addressing the media, Mr. Santosh said that the plantation programme would be launched on KCR’s birthday, the 17th of February, Friday.  He said, “CM aspires for a Telangana that radiates green and spiritual auras along with development in all fields.” 

Speaking of the utilization of the adopted land, Mr. J. Santosh said that the first phase plantation of 1000 acres would be taken up at the cost of Rs. 1 crore.  The remaining work would be completed in phases.
