Mr. Durgam Chinnaiah, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Bellampalli constituency, denied the allegations of slapping a toll plaza employee.
On the 4th of January, Wednesday, Mr. Durgam Chinnaiah, addressed the media and said, he did not assault any toll plaza worker and added that people were unhappy over the collection of the fees before completing work of Mancherial Chandrapur National Highway. He further said that he visited the plaza for the inspection and regretted the fact that many patients were forced to wait during medical emergencies and found fault with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for levying taxes on motorists without completing the work.
It is to be noted, the Bellampalli MLA Durgam Chinnaiah was alleged to have slapped a toll plaza worker. A video of the incident went viral on social media platforms. Netizens criticised the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA for the behaviour and asked for an apology.
Meanwhile, the Mandamarri Toll Plaza management is demanding justice for the employee and strict action against the BRS MLA Durgam Chinnaiah.
