Once again, Mr. T. Raja Singh, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Goshmahal constituency, in Telangana, created controversy with his remarks against Prophet Mohammed.

In regard to this, the Mangalhat police issued a notice to Mr. T. Raja Singh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator.  On the 7th of December, Wednesday, the Mangalhat Police issued a notice for allegedly making derogatory comments on social media.

Recently, MLA Raja Singh made a remark against Prophet Mohammed on the 30th anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition, targetting a particular Muslim community.

The issued police notice read, “You have posted the photo under objectionable caption targeting a particular community which is in violation of conditions imposed by the Honourable High Court.”   Furthermore, as per the notice, the Mangalhat Police asked MLA Raja Singh to appear before them and reply to the notice within the next two days, the 9th of December.

If the BJP leader fails to submit a reply in this regard, the police would take the necessary legal action against the BJP MLA.

The incident happened recently after the Telangana High Court agreed to the release of Mr. T. Raja Singh, who was detained for making derogatory comments against Prophet Mohammed.  He was also directed not to post any derogatory or provocative comments against any community, which could hurt religious sentiments, while granted bail.  However, he disobeyed the guidelines of the Telangana High Court and recently made derogatory comments regarding Babri Masjid demolition, and was given a police notice.
