A student of a private college tried to commit suicide and died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital on the 29th of August, Monday.

To get into the details, Ajit, who completed his second year intermediate course at SR Gayatri College in Adibatla, was making rounds for documents and certificates for admission to an engineering college.  However, after attempts, the college administration failed to release the certificate until the entire fee was paid, due to which Ajit failed to attend the first phase of the counselling of engineering colleges and took the drastic step and tried to kill himself.

Upon hearing of the incident, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leaders reached out to the family and expressed dismay over the incident.  Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the BJP in Telangana, also called Ajit’s father and inquired about the incident.  In addition, the Member of Parliament (MP) of  Karimnagar  Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar took a dig at Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana over the incident.

Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) led Telangana Government remained mute spectators when students were dying.  Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar asked how many more should die before the CM responds, and how many more innocent students have to pay the price with their lives to the insatiable corporate fee exploitation.

The KCR Government is yet to respond to the issue.
