Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana, has been remanded in custody for two weeks.

Arrested in the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Paper Leak matter, Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar is lodged in Karimnagar Jail.  The Karimnagar Member of Parliament (MP) and the BJP leader appeared before the Telangana High Court, after the BJP leader moved the HC against his arrest.  However, in a drawback to the BJP unit in Telangana, the Court sent Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar to judicial custody for next two weeks.

Disappointed with the judgment, the BJP workers in Telangana, called for a nationwide protest against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government and State Police.

Notably, the Telangana Police arrested Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the ongoing the TSPSC Paper Leak issue.
