Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) on the 29th of March, issued a statement regarding the debts in Telangana.

According to sources, the Telangana  BJP President said, Telangana is in debt and said, “There are no records of the Employees Health Scheme (EHS) being implemented anywhere.  Why doesn’t the government respond when employees suffer as no corporate hospital accepts their health cards?” 

Taking a dig at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government, the BJP unit in Telangana asked for the details of the State’s account, questioning the economic situation of the Telugu State.  He said that while the “Telangana Chief Minister Mr. K Chandrasekhar Rao keeps calling the state a prosperous, rich state, he has actually turned it into a pile of debt.”

Furthermore, addressing a public meeting, the Karimnagar Member of Parliament (MP) claimed that government employees, teachers, pensioners are not paid on time and even their medical reimbursement, education concession, and surrender bills have been pending for the last 7 months.   He said, “Is this the job-friendly state that they claim it to be? Haven’t they turned it into a heap of debt?”

Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar said, “There are no records of the Employees Health Scheme (EHS) being implemented anywhere.  Why doesn’t the government respond when employees suffer as no corporate hospital accepts their health cards?” 

The K. Chandrashekar Rao led TRS Government is yet to respond to the allegations and criticism of the BJP President.
