Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy termed the arrest of MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha as a political stunt. He said that both Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) are sailing in the same ship and trying to gain votes with the arrest.

Revanth Reddy addressed the media at his residence and said that the arrest of Kavitha 24 hours before the declaration of election code is a political stunt. “BRS is trying to play a sympathy game with the arrest. BJP will definitely use it as an election stunt,” Revanth said.

Both the parties are trying to destroy the winning chances of the Congress with a variety of stunts, Revanth alleged.

Revanth said that they will go for elections taking 100 days of ruling as a referendum. Revanth warned that BRS will become empty if it tries to dethrone the Congress government. He said that Congress is working with a motive of winning at least 14 seats and heading to declare the list of candidates by March 19, 2024.
