Telugu actress turned politician Vijayashanti, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Member of Parliament (MP) criticised Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
On Thursday, the 10th of December, Ms. Vijayashanthi addressed the media and said, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President KCR cheated Ms. Sonia Gandhi, the interim President of the Indian National Congress (INC) after promising to merge the TRS with the INC.
She said, however KCR broke the promise of merging the TRS with the INC.
The creation of the Telangana state would not have been possible without the support of the Indian National Congress (INC) and the BJP.
Vijayashanti slammed the CM for not developing the State in the last six years as assured by the State Chief Minister.
Claiming Mr. Rao to be a better actor than her, Ms. Vijayashanthi said, “I never expected that Chandrashekar Rao was a better actor than me.”
Vijayashanti alleged that the KCR had fixed in his mind that no strong leader must exist in the TRS apart from him and his family.
She also spoke about the gap between her and KCR prior to the suspension from the TRS.
Vijayashanti, one of the star campaigners of the INC joined the BJP ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on the 24th of November.
The GHMC elections were conducted on the 1st of December and the results were declared on the 4th of December.
Though, the TRS won the GHMC elections with 56 of the total 150 seats, the BJP also gave a tough fight and secured 48 seats.
