Abdullapurmet Tahsildar Vijaya Reddy’s Attender Passes Away

On the 2nd of December, Chandraiah, the late Abdullapurmet Tahsildar Vijaya Reddy’s attender, succumbed to his burns.

Along with Gurunatham, Vijaya Reddy’s driver, Chandraiah tried to save K. Vijaya Reddy, the Revenue Mandal Officer of Abdullapurmet, who was burnt alive.  While Gurunatham died of severe burns the next day, Chandraiah was admitted to a hospital and was undergoing treatment.

Chandraiah was admitted at the Apollo Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Hospital in Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad and died at 3:30 A.M., on the 2nd of December.

On the 4th of November, around 1:30 P.M., a man identified as K. Suresh, entered the Tahsildar’s office and set Vijaya Reddy on fire.  K. Suresh also suffered 80 % burns and died three days after the incident.

Chandraiah’s body was sent to Osmania General Hospital (OGH) for post mortem.
