The first One Day International (ODI) series of the West Indies Tour 2019 was cancelled on the 8th of August, due to rain.

Due to heavy rain, the match was stopped after the first 13 overs.  The match was supposed to be played for 50 overs.

The game was paused intermittently due to rains.  Later, when it was paused for the third time, the umpire announced the cancellation of the match and rescheduled it.

Team India won the toss and chose to bowl first.  Team West Indies scored 54 runs in 13 overs, with a loss of 1 wicket.  On the other hand, India did not get a chance to bat as the match was cancelled.

This was the first ODI match of the West Indies Tour 2019.  The West Indies Tour 2019 started on the 3rd of August, with the T20 International matches.

The Indian Cricket Team scored well and won all the three T20Is, following which, the score in the T20I format was India 3 and West Indies 0.

The announcement about the new date of the 1st ODI match will be made soon.

The second ODI match is scheduled to be held on the 11th of August.
