Rishabh Pant is not going to be a part of the One Day International (ODI) squad of team India against Bangladesh.

On the 4th of December, Sunday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Indian player Rishabh Pant would not be a part of the ODI, but join the Indian Squad in New Zealand for Test Series.  

After the sudden exit of Rishabh Pant, the pant fans and cricket fans were suspicious about his mysterious exit, especially after his not so good performance in New Zealand series.  However, on the 5th of December, Monday, the reason behind the exit has been revealed.  

According to sources, Rishabh Pant’s exit is due to his back injury, happened in the New Zealand series.  After consulting the BCCI Medical Team, the board decided to release Rishabh Pant from the ODI game.

The BCCI issued an official tweet and announced to release Pant from the ODI game against Bangladesh, confirming he would join the squad for the Test Series.

The tweet read,  “UPDATE 

In consultation with the BCCI Medical Team, Rishabh Pant has been released from the ODI squad  He will join the team ahead of the Test seriesi.  No replacement has been sought.  Axar Patel was not available for selection for the first ODI.”
