Indian shuttler and two time Olympic medallist Ms. P.V. Sindhu won the Syed Modi International Badminton Title on the 23rd of January.

She won against young compatriot Malvika Bansod in straight games. With this win, it was Ms. P.V. Sindhu’s second women’s singles title at the Syed Modi International badminton tournament.

P.V. Sindhu past Malvika Bansod with 21-13 21-16 in a lop-sided title contest. The final lasted just 35 minutes.

The Syed Modi International Badminton Singles event was held at At the Babu Banarasi Indoor Stadium, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Mr. P.V. Ramana, the father of P.V. Sindhu said, “Firstly, a victory is a victory and no offence that in 2019, because of the pandemic or some other issues, she played the finals but couldn’t get the title. Though this is 300, it’s a title and we are very happy and hope that she will definitely continue this. For sportspersons, every win motivates them to perform better.”

Notably, last time in 2017, India badminton star P.V.Sindhu won the Syed Modi International Tournament title.
