Mumbai: Indian cricket team held its nerve to seal a thrilling last-ball win against Bangladesh in ICC World Twenty20 on Wednesday.
But a fan in Gorakhpur died of heart attack following India’s victory. According to the source, Om Prakash Shukla hailing from Bistauli village in Uttar Pradesh, complained of severe chest pain after Bangladesh wicket keepper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim struck two back-to-back boundaries off Hardik Pandya in the final over of the interesting match.
It is learnt that Shukla used to run a grocery store in Delhi before he and his family moved to Uttar Pradesh. Shukla is survived by three sons.
